Exploring a Microscopic Wonderland

No biology course would be complete without a lesson on cells, the fundamental units of all life on Earth. This BioBox introduces students to cell structures and functions. By creating models and observing actual cells beneath a microscope, they’ll explore organelles, differences between plant and animal cells, and the relationship cells have with water. These experiments will leave students with an appreciation for life’s smallest structures, all while encouraging them to dive deeper into this microscopic world.

This BioBox poses a few essential questions about cells:

  • What is a cell, and what structures are most common?
  • How are plant and animal cells different?
  • What is diffusion, and how is the plasma membrane involved?
  • Why do certain environments encourage osmosis with cells?

Let the epic experiments begin!
